News of the horrific helicopter accident that claimed nine lives, including both Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna, felt like it stopped the world for a little while.

His impact across several generations was truly phenomenal. When written down his list of achievements is almost unbelievable. His work ethic inspired so many people to do better and be better in their everyday lives.

Kobe was known for his remarkable display of talent and hard work on the court, numerous broken records and history-making moments and a place in the debate of the greats forever.

If you didn’t know Kobe for his work on the court, you probably knew him from people shouting “Kobe!” as they attempted to shoot iconic hoops into bins in classrooms, workplaces and households around the world.
